I love pie! I have 6 tried and true pie recipes just for you!
If you’ve been around here for awhile, you know that I LOVE baking, but I gave it up for years when my relationship with food became so disordered.
BUT I am happy to say that after some work my relationship with food is all better and I have taken up baking again and still have so much passion for it!
The food I look most forward to at Thanksgiving is pie.
I love it so much. I used to have so much guilt and fear around food, but thankfully I have a much better relationship with food now.
It breaks my heart when I see women struggling.
In fact, I am opening up a few slots for the month of December for private coaching. I want to help other women heal their relationships with food too! Especially during one of the hardest times of the year regarding food.
You can read more about that here if you’re interested: Private Coaching. And because you’re a loyal follower of my blog I will give you $50 off the price! Use code ‘privatecoaching’.
Ok now on to the pies!
Here are the recipes that I love and use.
Pie crust is my favorite thing about pie so of course I have searched high and low for the best recipe and here it is!
I love this chocolate pie the most. Just a few ingredients and SO good! Sometimes I make it with a regular pie crust, and sometimes I make it with a graham crust. Both are delicious.
I’m not a pumpkin pie lover at all. But I started making this Pumpkin Dump Cake a few years ago and everyone loves it. Even me!
I’m also not a fan of lemon meringue pie but my husband loves it! My friend Chelsea from @haven_place makes a really good sour cream lemon pie that me and my husband both love! A happy compromise for sure.
I feel like there always needs to be some sort of a berry pie too, so I usually just grab a frozen Marie Callender’s Razzleberry pie. It’s actually really good considering. BUT my family’s favorite pie ever is Strawberry Slab Pie. My son requests it every year for his birthday. So if you can find some good strawberries this time of year I suggest you make this one!
And this amazing Molten Chocolate Crackle Pie is new this year for me. I am so excited about this one! You can omit the coffee powder if you’d like and substitute Hazelnut Extract for the Hazelnut Liquor if desired.
My friend Jill is a food blogger and an amazing cook. She has a recipe for this Nutella No Bake Cheesecake that is SOOOOOO good. I don’t even like Nutella (I know…) but I love this cheesecake. Trust me. It’s so good!
And there you have it! A list of my favorite pies I make for Thanksgiving! Oh and obviously I use the Never Fail Pie Crust recipe with all of these pies. I stick to what I love!
Happy Thanksgiving to you! Hope it’s full of pie and loved ones.
